One of the technologies that IBC ETDC is proud of is called “charging without a charger”

Technology allows to charge any vehicle without any additional charging device. The transformation of 220 V AC from wall to 400 V DC charging current is possible by utilizing AC motor windings and stator and rotor cores together with power electronics in controller as a step-up or step-down transformer.

This is a break-through technology, since it would allow to get rid of specialized charging 400 V DC stations, and instead make regular high-current sockets available.
Maximum charging power equals half of maximum power output of a module, that means that if a car made with the use of this technology has a rated power output of, for example, 200 kW, then maximum charging power can be up to 100 kW. Of course, regular wall socket is not going to be able to support such power, but it is very easy to set up powerful sockets in urban areas, a lot easier at least, than purchasing expensive charging stations. (100 kW charging station costs around 30 000 euros)Secondly, if the speed of the vessel does not match the most efficient range of diesel generator’s output efficiency, energy surplus or deficit is balanced by the battery.
If the technology is implemented on large enough scale, it will make a huge impact on society, radically accelerating EV popularization, making it easy to charge, easier in fact than filling up on petrol stations, because electricity is safer and way more abundant!Basically, it is a mini-thermo-electro station, made possible by the use of very high-efficient motor generator produced using ETDC technologies.
This system allows to decrease fuel consumption, not only benefitting the owner of the vessel, but also helping in reducing emissions without compromising the reliability on an engine!
Imagine: in any urban area, any yard, near any block of flats on any parking there will be regular power sockets. If you plug your vehicle in one of them – the module in your vehicle will be recognized by this smart socket and power electronics in the module will manage charging process, monitoring consumption, through measuring and managing charging voltage and current. Effectively your car will manage its own charging process and you as a customer will only choose how much charge you want to receive and how fast. All payment processes will be managed automatically you don’t need to worry about anything.
